Thank you for your interest in being a Psychology Teaching Assistant! Before completing this application, look at faculty websites and course schedule so you are aware of faculty teaching interests and courses offered. Next, please read the following information and disclaimers:1) There are limited Teaching Assistant positions. Filling out this application does not guarantee you a TA spot for the semester. Faculty will evaluate your responses, GPA, and coursework to make their selections.
2) You should construct your schedule as if you have not been selected as a TA. If you are selected as a TA, then you can make the necessary schedule adjustments. Note that you must plan on taking the TA practicum course PSY 3570 for 3 credit hours if you are selected.
3) Ultimately, the decision for TA selection is up to the the course instructor. You are encouraged to discuss the opportunity with them directly.
Note: Faculty will make their selections between 11/22 and 12/9. If you have not heard back from faculty by then you may contact your academic advisor for alternate opportunities. However, ALWAYS make your semester course schedule as if you DON'T have the position and plan to drop courses accordingly once your are registered and confirmed.
